Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters

The Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters is one of the most prestigious tennis tournaments on the ATP Tour.
It takes place every year in April at the Monte-Carlo Country Club, offering an exceptional setting with a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea.
This tournament is part of the ATP Masters 1000 category, meaning it awards a significant number of points for the world ranking.
History
Created in 1897, the Monte-Carlo tournament is one of the oldest on the circuit and has a strong tradition on clay courts. Although it is a Masters 1000, it is the only one in this category that is not mandatory for the Top 30 players.
It is often seen as a stepping stone to Roland-Garros, which takes place a few weeks later. The best clay-court specialists come here to test their form and adjust their game on this demanding surface.
