Exhibition - "Polar Mission" Exhibition
From Saturday 4 June 2022 to Tuesday 31 December 2024, Oceanographic Museum of Monaco
Discover an immersive and interactive experience! Take on the role of a roving reporter and set off on a mission to explore the polar regions! This new exhibition includes five thematic areas spread over two levels. Learn about the poles and their wildlife, and the men and women who populate and explore them. Fascinating objects and documents, digital content and immersive devices come together to create a 360° experience. The great voyage can begin!
OPMC - "Piano Recital" Music

Friends and colleagues for thirty years, Charles and Stan, two stage actors, argue about their ambitious new project, restaging Antoine Vitez's legendary 1978 performance of the four Molière plays, The Misanthrope, the School for Wives, Tartuffe, and Dom Juan. And like their master and Molière himself, the duo want to perform without a set, but merely a table, two chairs, and stick. Dring rehearsals, Charles unfortunately reads a message on Stan's phone from a mysterious H. Discord ensues.

Italian Cinema - "Big Deal on Madonna Street", by Mario Monicelli (1958). A cult fifties Italian comedy featuring a gallery of bungling but combative characters, each more magnificent than the last. In partnership with the Dante Alighieri association.

Cine-concert - "The Passion of Joan of Arc", by Carl Theodor Dreyer (1928). Featuring a striking performance by Renée Falconetti, Dreyer's take on the Joan of Arc story is a thing of beauty. In partnership with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra.
From 6 December 2023, Musée Océanographique de Monaco
As part of commemorations marking the centenary of Princer Rainier III (1923-2023), the Oceanographic Museum presents its new permanent exhibition, "The Prince and the Mediterranean". Visitors to the exhibition, the Oceanographic Institute's tribute to the unshakeable connection between Princer Rainier III and the ocean, and the Mediterranean Sea in particular, will step aboard his ship, Deo Juvante II. Guided by the voice of H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie, they will navigate through four fascinating spaces, each exploring a different facet of the Prince and his passion for all things aquatic.

Unstoppable groove and tongue-in-cheek humour: that's the recipe for the Voilaaa sound. Producer Bruno "Patchworks" Hovart is the man behind this project exploring funk and disco music with African and Caribbean influences. He has surrounded himself with artists from different but complementary worlds, ranging from afrobeat to soul and disco, with the result that Pat Kalla and Sir Jean feature on the famous album "On te l'avait dit". Voilaaa are bringing afrodisco back with their groovy, hypnotic rhythms!

The Blues Brothers were created in the 1970s by comedians John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd. After the success of their debit album "Briefcase Full Of Blues" and a US tour, the cult movie followed, featuring a host of soul and blues legends and brilliant performances by Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin. The hit soundtrack included all-time classics including Everybody Needs Somebody to Love, Soul Man, and Think.

In the wake of two diamond-certified albums and a platinum-selling third, "Joie de vivre", Louane is back with a sensitively produced concept album. A moving communion with her fans through the artist's social media accounts, with performances drawing on her personal stories as well as those inspired by her community. With music and lyrics written by the young artist herself, this fourth opus is an ode to "Sentiments". A collection of 10 original, unadorned tracks, a raw, emotional gem.

For this third "Renc’art" event during Video Game Month, the Library is paying tribute to the work of Jean Jacques Calbayrac, alias Game Boy Cameraman, with a collection of his photographs from the archives giving visitors the chance to see his series about Monaco, the city of his birth.
Exhibition - "The Ice Giants" Exhibition
From Wednesday 10 April to Sunday 6 October 2024, Musée Océanographique de Monaco
Polar bears and emperor penguins are the lead characters in "The Ice Giants", a new exhibition by Michel Bassompierre. Seven monumental works will be installed in the Oceanographic Museum and on its roof terrace. Five will be new creations: four polar bears and a three-metre tall emperor penguin. Original drawings and sketches will also be displayed, accompanied by a film presenting the artist's work. This temporary exhibition is part of the Polar Mission organised by the Oceanographic Institute since 2022.

The new exhibition at the Villa Sauber honours Pier Paolo Pasolini, perhaps the last European intellectual to have gained worldwide renown. A half-century on from his death, his influence can still be felt across the different fields in which he worked: he is read, commented on, adapted, and inspires contemporary creative artists. While he preferred to describe himself as a writer, it was his films that brought him to the public’s attention. The exhibition looks at his inspirations and his legacy.

The Cabinet of Curiosities - "The Early Days of Télé Monte-Carlo, 1954-1974" - An exhibition looking at the first 20 years of Monaco's TV channel launched in 1954. A selection of archives and objects will take you back in time, to the very earliest days of colour television. Organised by the Audiovisual Institute of Monaco, the exhibition features items entrusted by Télé Monte-Carlo for safekeeping, documents from partner institutions, and materials kindly loaned by private individuals.

This lecture by Dr Stéphanie Reynaud and Dr Didier Zoccola, organised by the association "Les Amis du Centre Scientifique de Monaco", will see the Monegasque scientists talk about life on board and the scientific challenges they encountered whilst conducting research in two areas, a transect between Wallis and Futuna and Japan, and a leg in Palaos looking at ocean acidification. They will help you understand not just the emergency we face the resilience of different species, and encourage everyone to do their part and protect this crucially important ecosystem.
