OPMC - "Piano Recital" Music
Tuesday 12 March 2024, at 8 pm, Théâtre Princesse Grace
“My mother is dead, but I am handling a living material”. Multi-award winning best-sellier "Rien ne s’oppose à la nuit" paints a portrait of a mother, and through her that of a family in the shadow of tragedy, a family that is unique yet universal. Keeping an almost visceral connection with the book, author Delphine de Vigan has always refused to allow it to be adapted for the screen or stage. Actor Elsa Lepoivre, through her passion for the book, her enthusiasm, and her subtle grasp of its meaning, finally convinced the writer to let her lend her voice and portrary her alone on the stage.
Lecture - "Life as a Couple" Lectures
Thursday 14 March 2024, at 7 pm, Théâtre Princesse Grace
If the meaning of life is a number, it certainly isn't "one". There may be single-cell organisms, bacteria, yeast, plankton, and other protozoa... But even they need something else, namely an environment in which to exist. Every organic molecule, in addition to having a lifespan and sources of energy, is built on multiplicity, alterity, combinations of elements, carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, water... Naturally, such is the essence of life on Earth, the life of living things, but tells us nothing about the way in which humans choose to live that life. Lecture organised by the association Les Rencontres Philosophiques de Monaco.
Wednesday 20 March 2024, at 8 pm, Théâtre Princesse Grace
The "metamorphosis of the storks" is the violent and simple story of a man shut in a room with an empty cup. For an hour, he attempts to follow the protocol without which his project will not see the light of day: to create life through in-vitro fertilisation. As a series of characters appear to him, each so eager to seem pragmatic that they ultimately seem mad, Marc Arnaud describes a most trivial situation with great poetry, and transforms his sordid prison into the fantastical world of his imagination.

This is the story of Max, your typical content and fulfilled thirtysomething, and also something of a technology addict. Our heroine finds herself thrust into an experience bordering on fantasy. Yet her story could just as easily be ours... Or at least, those of us incapable of going five minutes without staring at a screen. The actor's talented performance combines with some impressive technical prowess to create the feeling of a waking dream, holding the audience spellbound from start to finish.
